Blower motor resistor location 1988 e150 5.0

Hi, so I get no air what so ever out of my ac,the ac turns on but doesnt do anything. So I bought a resistor but can't figure out where its located or how to get to it. Any info would help. Thanks! Edit: there is also a sticker under the hood that says "retrofit sae 1661" if that means anything?

thanks! Got it off! Unfortunately oreillys gave me the single coil resistor instead of the three coil resistor it needed so I have to wait for them to get the three coil resistor in tomorrow via special order. Hoping it will fix the problem but if not I'll come back with more questions

While you're replacing the resistor carefully check the pigtail lead from the chassis wiring harness too---those have been know to melt not only the connector body but wiring too---now's a good time to check and replace if suspect.

Another possible area to at least be aware of is the blower fan speed switch in the dashboard. I've had a few melt and lose contact, one or more speeds no longer working. The pigtail lead there too can develop issues with long-term use.

If either of those pigtail leads need replaced please post back---I have what might be a few time saving tips for replacing them.
