fuel pump plug to harness .. may have found problem

I got the box off today and if I am lucky may have found the obvious problem . Bought the truck knowing the pump may need replaced.I don't know if this was someones's work trying to diagnose the fuel problem or it is the problem. I found a harness pig tail for the left end ,, but I need one for the pump end. There is not enough left to slice. Any idea if something like that exists or do I have to find someone who has a junk pump and cut it off ?
Thank you

Well not so lucky it seems. That plug end is the female end and I needed the male end that is on the pump section. Now to make matters worse I was able to twist the pink w black wire together enough to get voltage through the plugs and going into the top of the pump. I am assuming that is the correct wire since it is the same color out of the inertia switch. Looks like I better quit messing around and get a Motorcraft pump !
Thank you for the help

Now am talking myself out of waiting for the motorcraft psf389 and going with a delphi DFG0954 that I can pick up tomorrow. It also has a lifetime warranty with a lower cost. The motorcraft does not have the same warranty. the old truck is 16yrs old and I would be pulling the bed again with either one. Anyone have any reservations about a delphi pump ?

Well as usual my skill/luck are not worth a crap!! Put in the new pump and still no response from the pump to the fuel pressure rail. Since the pink w black wire had power going into the old pump I thought I had found it. Pump does not even power up when the key is turned on. I have checked all fuses and find nothing blown. Continuity through all of them. I am sure how to check all the black relays.
This thing also has a remote start that is not factory. Is there a possibility this could be the problem and how do I unhook it ? Someone put the attached wire in the slots on the radio I am assuming to pull it and look for the FP relay ? I had thought on an 03 it was in the fuse panel ? I guess if I can get it running I will have a new Fuel pump ! Thank you for any help you can provide

Did you check the ground circuit for the pump? Re-check that you're getting battery voltage for 2-3 seconds at power on on the pink/black wire?

I just tried the pink /black again and now it does not show power at the end of the female harness before it plugs in the pump with a test light. It does show power on the pink/black coming out of the inertia switch. I am grounding the light to the frame right behind the cab.I was a little leery of being able to get a good ground. What really confuses me now is that in the above photo of the broken wires I was able to twist the pink /black back together and get the light to show voltage going into the old pump. I am starting to think I have to try to trace the wire all the way back from the inertia switch to the pump connection .

The OEM wiring has the PK/BK going from the inertia switch to the fuel pump on our 2002 Excur and 2003 Exped and I think it's the same on yours.
You could eliminate the connector and run a new 14 AWG (or larger) wire from the inertia switch to the fuel pump and tie the black wire to ground anywhere.
Not sure where your fuel pump relay is, but if you test the circuit with a 10-15 amp load the relay contacts are probably good.
On my cars the relay is soldered onto the bottom of the CJB.

Are you saying just cut the pnk/blk on the out side of the inertia switch and run it direct to the new pump wire and splice into the black wire on the pump end to ground to frame ? I made the mistake of not taking the old pump out and testing it before putting the new one in so the wiring connector above has been replaced on the pump end.
Thank you

tonight II was able to splice into the pnk/blk wire coming from the inertia switch and get a headlight to come on when turning the key on so I am just assuming the FP relay is in working order.
