"The Cleanest, not Messed with 56 in the World!"
Here is the "cleanest not messed with 56 in the World" according to the seller on eBay.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/1956-Ford-F...4:pf:0&vxp=mtr
It is a nice truck, but we here at FTE have seen many nicer and cleaner and more stock than this one!
I'll start the critique:
1. shiny bumpers.

Nice looking truck. But cleanest not messed with???
Seven pictures for a truck they want $35K for?
Also what is numbers matching for these old trucks? The only thing I know of would be if the serial number says it's a 272 and it has one in it.
Chrome grill was stock wasn't it?
They need more pictures for sure. Any thoughts on the price? I think it's a bit high, but I'm cheap. I would think more $20K to $25K?

I have learned here at FTE that there is no such thing as a numbers matching Ford truck. Some brands had numbers stamped I to their body parts, not Ford. I guess he is saying all the body parts and panels are original to the truck.

You are on the right track. In 53 and 54 wheels on F100s were body color. In 55 the F100s wheels were Snowshoe white which matched the grille.. In 56 they were white but I think it was not Snowshoe, but it would have matched the standard, not the chrome, grille.
So good point.
What else is wrong on the world's least messed up 56 in the world?

Super nice truck. But not a 100 point restoration.
if you’re just looking for flaws, the firewall should be body color -not black- and it has a couple of non-factory gauges hanging under the dash. It also has a hole in the middle of the bed rear cross-member. A crank-down spare tire carrier, perhaps?
But I’m not really knocking it. It’s really, really nice.

Yes, it's a very nice truck. If you say "cleanest not molested with 56 in the world" you have to know folk are going to ding you. Especially one that has been tweaked as much as this one has.
I'm not fond of all the chrome, that's just not my thing. But I wouldn't turn her down either.
