It is a nice truck, but we here at FTE have seen many nicer and cleaner and more stock than this one!

Also what is numbers matching for these old trucks? The only thing I know of would be if the serial number says it's a 272 and it has one in it.
Chrome grill was stock wasn't it?
They need more pictures for sure. Any thoughts on the price? I think it's a bit high, but I'm cheap. I would think more $20K to $25K?

I have learned here at FTE that there is no such thing as a numbers matching Ford truck. Some brands had numbers stamped I to their body parts, not Ford. I guess he is saying all the body parts and panels are original to the truck.

 

"94,000 before restore." ? It has totally been "messed with."

You are on the right track. In 53 and 54 wheels on F100s were body color. In 55 the F100s wheels were Snowshoe white which matched the grille.. In 56 they were white but I think it was not Snowshoe, but it would have matched the standard, not the chrome, grille.

Yes, it's a very nice truck.If you say "cleanest not molested with 56 in the world" you have to know folk are going to ding you. Especially one that has been tweaked as much as this one has.
I'm not fond of all the chrome, that's just not my thing. But I wouldn't turn her down either.

 

It might have one of those big curved pipes....

Here some messed with stuff I noticed: non-stock floor mat, a rubber boot at bottom of shifter.

All 56's, Standard Cab and Custom Cab, had black division bars, right Kevin? I see a shiny division bar.

 

 

The "FORD" on the hubcap is written upside-down.

 

Probably a very nice truck. What does the quality of and number of pictures say? I just can not understand anyone trying to sell something that nice with such a poor presentation!
