2019 Ram HD reveal - 1000 lb-ft Cummins

I'll have the full press kit in just a few, but the 6.7L Cummins I-6 diesel as offered in the refreshed 2019 Ram 3500 will indeed be rated at a full 1000 lb-ft of torque.

Highlights:
- Ram will offer full-stop collision avoidance and adaptive cruise, even at max GCWR
- A new 2500 Big Horn/Laramie Black package, in which the exterior is virtually all black
- The new 1500 interior has been essentially brought over almost intact to the HD
- Power Wagon has 360° cameras with a forward view for off-roading that will project the tire path ahead
- Standard Cummins: 370 hp @ 2800 rpm, 850 lb-ft @ 1700 rpm
- HO Cummins: 400 hp @ 2800 rpm, 1000 lb-ft @ 1700 rpm
- Pickup GCWR up to 43,000 (regular cab DRW Cummins HO 4x2 and 4x4)

- truck version of ZF 8HP75 (used with the Ram 1500 with 5.7L) is standard with the 6.4L Hemi V8
- upgraded 68RFE and Aisin AS69RC transmissions with the Cummins
- Borg-Warner transfer cases: 44-46 (electric)/44-47 (manual) for Hemi and standard Cummins, 44-48 (electric)/44-49 (manual) for HO Cummins - 2.64:1 low range on all models
- AAM 11.5-inch rear axle standard, 12.0-inch on 3500 Max Tow
- 14.17" front rotors, 14.09" rar rotors, dual piston ca;ipers at all 4

- Adaptive Cruise and Collision Warning with full-stop are available on all trim levels as part of the Safety Group, which also includes LED head/fog/tail lamps. Full-stop braking includes the trailer brakes when a trailer is connected
- Adaptive LED headlamps for Longhorn and Limited trims - outer headlamps can pivot up to 15 degrees in the direction of a turn
- Frame is now 98.5% high-strength steel
- Tire pressure monitoring system can track 4 or 6 pickup tires and up to 12 trailer tires
- Harman Kardon 17-speaker 750-watt sound system available
- Center console offers wireless charging dock and up to 5 USB ports
- New progressive springs for improved unloaded ride
- Active noise cancellation and acoustic glass make interior 10 dB quieter

- Optional rear air suspension includes Bed-Lowering mode for ease in connecting trailers
- 115V/400W outlets available on dash, facing rear seat, and inside RamBox
- New HVAC offers 30 percent more airflow, larger windsheiled defroster vents, and an electric heater supplements the main system with the Cummins
- All trim levels are push-button start
- Hemi uses the rotary **** transmission shifter, Cummins retains column shift
- The reverse sensors on DRW trucks are placed and programmed to cover the full 96-inch width of the dually fenders (first in segment), warning if the area behind the truck is too narrow
