I installed a Hurst shifter with gate lock, I had it for many years before put it in the 49. It even baffled me before I found the instructions. I think it will work well as a theft deterrent. I'm going to put in a hidden switch to shut down the battery though, as and extra measure of security.

My grandfather always drove Buicks. For years I thought all cars were started by pressing down on the gas pedal.

Grew up driving sticks, after i got my first auto every stop my foot went to the imaginary clutch and hit the floor, this went on for years before I could curb it. Yes the manual trans and a push button start, hell of a theft deterrent in today's times.

Here's what I was talking about.... I saw this on Facebook. Counting the dimmer switch there are 6 pedals on the floor.
