Very nice--if the DEF tank issues (hanging down) has been resolved then this may just be on my radar for the next truck!
The fuel door is larger and more square. Could be a styling touch, but I think more likely it means the DEF filler is next to the diesel fill, where it should be. At that point, it wouldn't make sense for GM to have the DEF tank on the passenger side outside the frame rail.
That is an abomination of a front end IMO. Really, if that was the only truck on earth I could buy I'd be doing a lot of walking. They must be trying to ensure they sell all the "old stock" because I can't imagine that will sell many units- probably increase the SD sales. GM designers may actually be working for FORD.
Good God, that front end is hideous! Ugly through my eyes! I think they are jumping the shark with that one if it's real!! That front end and wheel wells. Unless every one is 6 foot 2 your gonna need a step stool for that bed side step! yuck!

Good point! The DEF tank is one of the primary reasons you do not see the oil burners in the oil patch where we are. Lots of 1/2 ton GM gassers but the DEF tank in the HD's getting a hole in it is real and a problem. 60% of the HD trucks I see are Ford with 25% being RAM Cummins the rest GM.
Hmmm. Well I think opinions are like everyone's got one. Personally not a fan, now, .. but look how cars have evolved over the last 100 years. The model T was considered beautiful at that point in time.
Heck look at the late 70s and 80s vehicles, people liked the boxy look.
As long as the GM HD trucks continue to be well made, reliable and American built, I'll leave the new Silverado HD on my list
