He's a long ways from Anchorage, Prince of Wales Island is in the southeast part of the state.

I have friends in the Kenai/Soldatna area and they report that the only major damage is to the roads.

I talked to my friend in Anchorage. She's OK, said it was very, very scary but she's got power and utilities and the house is OK. She said that all of the aftershocks including the 5+ one have been nerve wracking. She was raised in Anchorage and was a little girl back in '64, and remembers that one also.
I was in Anchorage this last fall and took a tour of the '64 quake sites. The earth is a wild thing....
