2015 Expedition Winshield Wiper Failure

Getting ready to trade and out with the family tonight had wipers failed. I had noticed last week that they seemed slower but would speed back up. Tonight they really began to struggle, got slower and slower and finally froze (right in my line of sight of course at night while raining). Was able to limp home safely. I see little about WW motor failures in late Expeditions, but it appears I lost a motor. More to come....

My daughter's 2018 f-150 was two days old when the wipers failed, bad motor. The truck hadn't even reached 100 miles on the ODO yet!!! The dealer cannibalized the part from another truck to get her rolling.

Dealership, confirmed failed motor. ~$430 parts and labor. The kicker is that they cannot locate a replacement, not even aftermarket. Expanding the search in hopes of getting one delivered Wednesday........

FFFFFFFF. Dealer can't find a replacement. Appears that they did locate one that could be fedexd, but the other dealer would not sell it to them. WTH.... Apparently the other dealer "had no obligation to sell it". I told my dealer that I'd pick the truck up and return when the part arrived, they said it was still apart and suggested I would get to pay to have them make it drivable (above the total repair cost). In the mean time I'm trying to locate and buy a new vehicle and can't very well work a trade w/o mine there.

Dropped it off at the dealer late Sunday, took 5 days to get the motor, went today Friday to pick it up and the service writer said " we have a little problem". Oh boy. Repair guy broke the windshield. 3 hours later after picking it up I no longer owned it. Traded it in. $420 total.

They broke your vehicles and then got you to buy a new one? I want those sales people working for me.

Nope........

I've had my 4th daily driver Expedition on order for a ~month, another black Platinum truck. The problem with ordering is that it gives me too much time to think. LOL. I've had Expeditions for 15 years now and they were the perfect vehicle for my family and myself. Children are grown now and have been out of the house for years, my wife has a new Platinum Explorer so we have a SUV, so I stepped outside the box. Saw a new Raptor and began studying them, incredible truck, much more room in the first and 2nd row than an Expedition, 450hp/520tq, all the luxury of a new Platinum Expedition, incredible suspension with new Fox active shocks that actively monitor/adjust similar to CCD but they have ~13" of travel, stock 35" BFG KO2s, 410 gears with E-locker in the back and Torsen LS in the front, cult-like following, great resale, etc., etc. My dealer had been looking for a new 2019 that are just now starting to show up but couldn't find one to my specs. A dealer about 150 miles from home had one arrive late Thursday, I did a deal over the phone and picked it up the next day. Magnetic color with all options but the graphics packages which I didn't want. 802A, carbon fiber package, tailgate step, technology package, 2nd row heated seats, forged beadlock wheels, etc., etc. Absolutely a blast, and a ton of room. So I'm currently Expedition-less now, but sure I'll be back at some point. The sun was going down and getting cold, snapped a few quick pics, the profile pic is not my truck (I forgot to get that angle) but my exact truck.

Those new beadlock wheels are sooo much better than the previous gen beadlocks that are all black, especially with the magnetic paint. Color me green, that's a nice ride. Maybe in another 10 years when all my kids are gone like you.
