1953-56 Truck hood

Hey folks, wondering if anybody had purchased a new steel hood, and what they thought (how is fit?, thickness/strength?). Also interested if anybody has a hood in good shape and is located in Wisconsin.

Thanks!

Bought mine from LMC-- we thought it was GREAT, heavy, fit GREAT better then original. Was very pleased, could not fix a original one for this price. Matched my truck color had to do nothing install and works great, good gaps--good luck

I know MID-WEST was a JOKE to deal with, would not buy a bolt from them. Customer service was a JOKE

I bought mine from Mid Fifty and I have no complaints about fit at all. I bought 4 different hoods trying to make 1 complete and realized it was a lost cause. If you can order before a big event, you can save shipping also. Good luck, Steve

Good to hear that repop hoods are finally reaching a level of quality that matches their cost. I looked at them when they first came out and they were junk.

Thanks for the feedback! I've made one purchase into LMC in the past, one nice feature is that they deliver for free if you spend more than $1,000
