Annoying problem with resolution - starting issue

I have taken ownership of a 1999 F-250 Superduty with the V10. It has an annoying electrical issue that I just can't get a good solid lead on how to repair it correctly. It runs perfectly without any warning lights on dash and no codes are thrown. I have to disconnect and reconnect the battery just about every time to start the engine. If I don't the engine just cranks with no signs of spark. I have installed a battery disconnect switch in the cab so I don't have to open the hood every time. Im guessing that I am resetting the PCM every time allowing the computer to let it run....I know that this isn't fixing the issue but it is working ok. I know when it comes time to sell for an upgrade it will be an issue.....any input will help.

Try narrowing the problem down to just the ECM by disconnect it instead of the battery. If the engine still doesn't start after then move onto doing the same to other modules such as the security module.

I would hunt around and see of anyone could put a scanner on it without spending too much money.

Thank you for the starting points. I will try the first recommendation and get back on here with my findings. It was on a shop scanner a couple of weeks ago and nothing that throws codes were indicated. I was getting an airbag light a few months ago and it was that light bulb in the dash switch so I was able to eliminate the only dash light. A CEL came on a month ago for a day saying it had a running rich issue but the light is no longer on and no codes......
