14.5 across all types of mileage with f350 dually. Worst ever was a2009 6.4. 11.5 mpg was best mileage in that. I buy new every 3-4 years. 6.4 was worst, 6.7 lot better, 2020 probably better yet, and so on

this exactly. Poor fuel economy is my only complaint. The 48 gallon tank makes it a non issue. I drove a friends 17 2500 denali from Bend Or to Sacramento ca and got 19-20 mpg at 85mph. Much better, but it also isnt even close to the Ford suspension wise for towing. If my truck was a DD instead of a tow vehicle, I’d have a GMC.

Just got back from a Milwaukee to Louisville and back. 19.1 mpg going down with a little tail wind kept it under 75 mph with 1 Regen I was at 21.8 per the computer until the regen.
return trip 17 mpg with strong side wind and I think I had a regen. Both trips are hand calculated. I noticed the computer is about .6 higher than hand calculated. If you can slow down to 60 mph you can get good mileage but I just can’t drive that slow. And if we didn’t have regens that would help for sure. But I have to says it is so comfortable to drive long distances in this truck.
4600 miles on truck and have 355 gears

Thanks

Thanks to everyone for your replies to my inquiry. I was also told by my dealer that once the computer got accustomed to my driving style that mileage may get better. Guess that might be one of their myths too. I noticed several of you mentioned the regens, my 2017 has never in any way shown me when it is in a regen. Was this messaging added back in the 2018's or am I missing something? Thanks

2mpg is not that unrealistic. Tail wind, temperature, grade all a factor. I've got 21 mpg before but kept it under 70mph. As soon as you start creeping over 70mph you can say goodbye to any fuel savings.

My 6.7 FX4 F350 CCLB with 3.55's, according to the read out on the dash, has been averaging 11.5ish. Only 700 miles, all local driving, so not a great deal of mileage to baseline from. Next week have a little road trip from MKE to GRB so I will have a little highway mileage to get a little better idea of actual MPG.

On our '18 PSD CCLB dually w/4.10's,at 70-75 mph, I average 15.8 or so. When the wife drives, she will get 16.5. of course also drives under limit.

15k mile average on our F350 SRW CCLB 4x4 with 3.55 is in the mid 13's
during a 1400 mile NON TOWING / Lightly loaded (continuous interstate run) with the cruise set at 2000 rpm on the interstate (80+ mph) I was in the 14's at 75 mph I was in the 15s.

its because of the REGEN's - Admittedly I have a heavy foot (theres my disclaimer).....On a lengthly 1400 mile (lightly loaded / no towing / non stop / interstate) run I was averaging near 17mpg (3.55) w/ the cruise set at 75mph...During REGEN the mpg plummets to 11mpg....KILLING the average MPG and pulling it down into the mid 15s.

IMO ford's regen strategy (every 500 miles, needed or not) is the death of MPG....in cold weather, REGENs occurred when the DPF Filter was barely 33% Full.... because I was at 497 miles since the last REGEN!

I drove Seattle to West Texas and back last week. I drove approximately 5mph over the speed limit most of the way. Unfortunately, my cruise control stopped working 500 miles into the 4000 mile drive. I averaged 15.5 there and 15.1 back based on the truck’s computer. The trip was windy, there were several mountain passes. My truck had 11,000 miles on it when I started the trip. I would’ve guessed that it would’ve been better...... I normally average 14.5 mixed driving, lots of idling..

Thanks for confirming why I plan to keep my 04 Dodge 2500 5.9L Cummins. Recently went on a 400 mile trip driving mostly 70 on the highway and obtained 26.3 mpg on the computer. Get around 21 in normal day to day driving. Of course this truck doesn't have all the emission crap on today's diesels.

I have been getting around 16.5-17.5 L/100km. (13.5-14.2 US mpg) @ 100 km/hr I find it very disappointing even with a 4" lift and 37's. My old 13 ram (deleted) 6" lift with 37's got me about 12L/100km (19.6 US mpg) @ 125 km/hr. I feel Ram had better gear ratios maybe for final gear as it was usually around 105-110 km/hr before 6th gear would happen where Fords shifts to 6th anywhere over 70km/hr. My old 16 GM (deleted) lifted with the 35's was only 15.5 L/100km (15 US mpg) but the odd trip id manage 16.5 mpg. I hand calculate everything using an app and found the Fords fuel economy screen was most accurate with the ram and the gm both being equally off as by their screens I could get around 10.2L/100km (23 US mpg). I don't know if I were to delete my ford if I would see enough gains to catch the ram in numbers but would hope maybe I could reach the GMs numbers
