Which tow mirrows to get?

Got mine from 1A auto. Happy with them. Enter your correct year and search away. Several different options. Here is 2002.

I have had my 1A Auto '08 style tow mirrors for about five years now, no issues with them at all other than having the chrome top cap coming loose a couple of times. Mine are heated, power glass with smoked lights, now they offer them with power fold and I think maybe even power extend which I would choose if buying now. Good quality, no vibration, no glass distortion, perfect fit, plug and play installation and a great upgrade from the period correct style tow mirrors that I had prior to them.

My plain Jane '05 XLT came with the little dog ear paddle mirrors with no options on them, my '08 style 1AAuto tow mirrors lights work perfectly with no additional mods, plug and play. But lighted tow mirrors were an option in '05, your year may differ and need a little wire splicing for the new lighted mirrors to work.

Do a search using f250 instead. 1A will not list everything that fits the Excursion. When I ordered my f250 heated, power fold, turn signal, power mirror set, I informed the sales person that I was putting them on an Excursion. Because their checkout system won't recognize that they fit an Excursion, we listed them as going on an f250 instead. Pricey though, over $500 a pair.

I use the switch supplied with the mirror set. I mounted mine below the column in the removable fuse access panel. In case these mirrors go south on me some day, the panel is much easier and cheaper to replace than a door panel or dash! BTW, 1A lists it for the 2003 - 2005 Excursion, but it fit and wired in fine on my 2002.

thanks, I didn’t realize those came with a switch, i’m Looking at the 2012 with Powerfold and telescope and it uses a intergraded switch that I need to figure out how to adapt. Think I have it sorted out but was looking to see how others have done it.

I installed the 1AMRP01095 Tow Mirrors from 1A Auto for $360 in Sept of 2014 and they work perfectly (plug n play). But I did also have tow mirrors to begin with. They are very easy to install. They didn’t have the power telescope/fold option when I bought mine, but don’t manually extend/fold mine now, so I probably wouldn’t use that feature anyway even if I did have it.
Almost everyone on here purchased theirs from 1A Auto and I just had a friend buy a set of tow mirrors from them for his F-150 and they work perfectly as well.
Good luck

I’ve had a little different experience with 1A tow mirrors. The black plastic caps keep coming loose on the mirrors and the glass will distort in cold weather (anything under -18c). They were good about it and sent me another set free but they are exactly the same as the first pair. If you live in a warmer climate I say go for it but if you live in Canada I’d try to find some Ford mirrors from a junkyard. Just my $.02
