CD Player 2013 F150 Limited

Just purchased a used 2013 F150 Limited. This baby is packed!
Anyway, I have several "home made" CD's that I have made with some of my favorite songs.
They play just fine in my 2005 Acura but refuse to play in the 2013 Limited. Normal, "store bought" CD's play fine in both vehicles.
All the F150 does is spin up the home made CD then eject it. Like I said, regular store bought CD's spin up and play fine.
Any suggestions on what might be going on?
Second, will the CD player play MP3's if I just copy them to a CD?

What about selecting download on the head unit and store the cd to the internal memory? Does that work?

I'm assuming your truck has a USB input port. Have you tried it instead? There's a way to get the usb stick into the glove box by using the USB2 port under the top of the dash, no re-programming required. I'm currently using a 128gb memory that way for custom music input.

Fixed: Updated to the latest Sync software and bought some different CD's. Not sure which one did the trick, but it's working now (knock wood).

Cool beans! I did the same as you with CDs a long time ago but switched over to the USB stick b/c it holds so much more music. It's also a plug and play, no problems, from either port.

Here you go, took a bit of searching -> https://www.f150online.com/forums/20...o-console.html.

I used a regular USB "extension" cable I got from Staples. I like this b/c A) a USB memory stick holds a lot more than a cd and 2) it's out of sight and 3) I don't keep smacking the dash front USB with my coffee mug.

edit: So far I've found the Sync doesn't care whether the music is windows format, mp3 or mp4. It seems to play everything! I (at the time mistakenly) copied my CDs in windows format only to find that my gps plays only MPx format so I have all 3 types on the same memory stick.
