M5OD clutch slave cylinder differences

I am swapping from a C6 automatic to a M5OD transmission in a 1996 F250. Going on the advice I got from Diesel Brad I found the pedal assembly from a 1995 F150. Also looking at getting new master and slave cylinders and fresh clutch parts since it will all be apart. In my research of what parts I need I am finding a difference in the slave cylinders from the part that is in the 1991 donor truck where the trans is coming from and the post 1992 parts. Can someone tell me if there will be an issue installing the newer version cylinder in the older version transmission? A couple of used part reference web sites I have looked at shows no interchange between the 1992 and up trans and the 1991 and down transmission. Should I be trying to find the newer version transmission?
Thanks!

I know the one thing different in the transmission is the lack of speedometer gear in the tailhousing in later models. Could be 1992 and up? They switched to sensor in the rearend. I put a later M5 in my '89 F150 a few years back and don't recall any issues.

Do they show what is different about the slaves?

The difference between 91 to 92 and up is they changed the size of the connector where the hydraulic line goes into the slave, get a master, hydraulic line and slave for a 95 f150 and it will work. If you have the hydraulic line from the 91 don’t use it.

The master cylinder bore diameter was changed sometime 92 or 93 and the slave cylinder changed to match. I agree with the previous post about using clutch parts for a 95. As far as I know the mounting points for the release bearing should be the same.
