Replacing neutral safety switch on a c6 auto

I have a 78 F250 and the NSS needs replacing. Truck wont start and it only started in neutral before. I have looked everywhere and cannot find a video nor instructions on how to take one off and reinstall a new one. Any info would sure be appreciated. Thanks!

NSS located on the left side of the transmission on the manual control selector lever in 1978/79. C6 uses a different NSS than C4.

Remove the old one. Install the new one. Place transmission in neutral. adjust until holes are aligned and pin inserts completely through . Tighten retaining bolts.

I actually disconnected the old one at the harness and installed a new one and turned the yellow **** until it turned over to get it out of the street.( it turned over when the slot on the yellow dial was exactly at 6 o clock) like in picture. Now I need to install it onto the transmission. I was also told that in a pinch you could pull the connection and jump it with a wire. I just did not know which wires to jump at the harness and didn't want to deal with it. Bypassing the neutral safety switch until you get a new one.

nss

Actually pretty easy process. Just make sure it lined up the way the one was taken out and everything worked perfectly. Probably a 10-minute job that took me an hour LOL
