4.0 sohc timing guide replacement issues

4.0 sohc timing guide replacement issues
I am attempting to replace the timing chain guide on the driver's side head on a 2003 4.0 sohc. Chain and sprockets are off, the guide is unbolted and is hanging on something when I try to remove it, believe the pivot for the guide is hanging on the head, has anyone successfully replaced one with this issue without pulling the head?
