Uninspired color pallet for new Rangers
Intrigued by the new Ranger, but disappointed by the single 2.3 engine and a terrible color pallet. No Ruby Red, no Greens, no beige. I'll wait and see if they make some changes before I consider this model. Much of the rest of the design is very appealing and I will be down sizing from an F-250 in couple of years.

Considering that it is a 9 year old design that the North American market is getting as a hand-me-down, it wouldn't surprise me if that were the plan. I've wondered if they were waiting for new F-series and Bronco designs, and public response, to choose the aesthetic style to base the next world-Ranger design on.

Brand new assembly line. Limited life span for this body, but the frame is new I believe, so it'll live on in the future update.
But these trucks should have some fun colors to attract attention and hopefully buyers. Jeep has it right with the Wranglers, new colors every six months to a year. It's funny to read their forums and see how crazy they go for new colors, especially the bold ones.
I expect that colors and options will improve as the plant/workers gain experience and things begin to go more smoothly.

To avoid double posting, I'll reference a post I made on another thread about this revised 3rd Gen Ranger for the USA. I refer to it as a the 3 1/2 Generation Ranger for some of the reasons JKBrad referenced. Much of what is in this truck will be part of the 4th Gen Ranger (which may also replace the long in the tooth 1st Gen VW Amarok as part of the VW/Ford tie-up). It's a good read and backed up by actual footage of the production line. When you look at the history of the SuperDuty development.... what is considered a refresh/next-gen is very blurred. I suspect we will see the same with Ranger....
Gen 3.5 US Spec Ranger vs Gen 3 Global Spec Ranger
Back to Colors... Here is a cool color available on the Gen 3 World Ranger available in Mexico... As you can see.. it continues with bumpers that are not integrated into the frame.... But I love this Silver Oyster color...
