LOL!! Some people claim it's a "convenience" thing, but Spongebob may be onto something...

I like a story I was told about 3 young boys tried to steal a 57 Chevy but only made it about 2 blocks down the road. A witness said it was bucking and stalling and after restarting several times they left it in the middle of the road and got out and ran.

48-54 Chevy trucks had the starter foot pedal next to the gas pedal. So that made 4 "pedals" plus a foot operated ebrake to the left and the dimmer switch.....

An automatic is convenient, but there is something special about shifting gears.

And Steve Hillenburg , Creater of SpongeBob , died last week at age 57. He had been a science teacher and came up with cartoon characters to teach his kids about marine life.

I saw that, Abe. I always liked Spongebob and am not afraid to admit it. I typically despise memes, but then they throw the spongebob characters in there, I can't help but laugh. Unfortunately I can relate to Squidward all too well....

Three on the tree with a foot starter is the ultimate anti-theft device.

Yes I remember those too. Also how about the early 60s Dodge/Plymouths/Valients with the push buttons for the automatic transmission.
