6.2 vs V10

Hi all, I did a search and didn't find anything recent. Not trying to start an argument either, but I just bought n 18 F250 with the 6.2V8, I have a 15 with that engine in my work truck and it has been good. My other is an 05 with the V10. The new one feels a little more spry, but that could easily be the 6 speed transmission as much as the engine vs the 05 with a 5 speed auto. The numbers are very comparable between the two. I'm curious what others think I should expect in general power, medium towing, and mileage form the 18 6.2 vs the 05 V10. My 15 work truck is very weighted down so not a very good comparison although it seems to have about the same power as the old 05. I'm keeping the 05 because I love the thing so the new one will be a garage queen for a while.

My friend just took delivery of his new F350 CCLB with 6.2L. He traded in his 2005 6.8L CCLB. He loves the new engine compared to the old one.
I must confess I had a hand in his purchase; I love my new 6.2L also and told him how great they are.

I went from an 06 f250 cclb 6.8 with 4.10's and camper/plow package to an 18 f350 cclb 6.2 with 4.30's and just the plow package, no camper.... New truck is slightly quicker off the line, much quieter, rides better and gets slightly better mileage towing. Had to drop the trailer hitch 2 inches, otherwise only significant difference is needing a step ladder to get in/oit of the bed lol... and the 48 gallon tank...

Tell me about it! I have about 1/2" clearance on the roof for my 7 foot garage door on this new truck. I won't get out of the garage once the snow comes! I'm going to remove a piece of trim to open up it to 1 inch, but making a larger/taller opening/door would be a huge undertaking. It's another reason I'm keeping the 05. That truck had 3 plus inches of clearance on the roof on the same door.

I love the 18's but that's the main thing that turns me off about them, the 4wd trucks are tall, even compared to the 11-17 trucks.

I have to park in a few garages, and my 13 barely fits in some garages listed as 6'8" max. The 18 trucks are over that.
