EBP Sensor Delete
Hello everyone,
So i have discovered that the pipe that is blocked off that used to go to my EGR sprung a hole in the flex section. Wondering if anyone has deleted there EBP Sensor by just leaving it unplugged or bought the EBPS Eliminator Defuser and plugged it into the wiring harness. Feedback soon would be awesome as Id like to just order new up pipes for the truck and eliminate that pipe all together.

Hello Everyone, so i will state up front right now that i got no pics of this project, but it is very straight forward. Below is a link to the up pipes i purchased from Rudys Performance.

They come with a lifetime warranty.
So the install. When i looked at them i realized they already had pre-welded bonnets for the EBP Sensor. Definitely a bonus.
The removal of the old up pipes was not to tricky. My truck has never seen salt or snow so maybe different for all applications. I had to pull the transmission which gave me all the room I needed to do the work. Removing all the bolts for the up pipes was simple. They all came out with ease and again this may be because of the added fact they have never seen salt and snow. Removed the up pipes out the bottom of the truck and simply bolted the new ones in place. The new pipes come with new gaskets but not studs and nuts. I purchased those straight from ford easy enough. I also had to go the the hardware store and purchase a plug for the right up pipes EBP sensor bonnet. I then extended the wires slightly on the EBP sensor soldered them and used some weather and heat proof shrink tubing over my extension wires and screwed the EBP sensor directly into the left up pipe. Took truck for a 20 mile ride and did some good solid pulls with the truck. Found no signs for leaking boost and actually seen lower EGT Temps. Will continue to test and provide updates on if they are better than stock.
Overall the install took me about 15 hrs. Including stopping for an hour for lunch and running to the ford dealer for the studs and nuts and the hardware store for a plug. I'd say any guy with some common knowledge can do it on his garage floor. Removing the transmission is the trickiest part without a transmission jack. But a couple floor jacks and some jackstands got mine far enough out the the way to get the up pipes out. I will also add that my truck has a 3" lift under it so a stock height truck may be a little more difficult to move the transmission out of the way to do the job.
Happy wrenching guys and stay safe with whatever your doing. Any questions feel free to give me a shout and I'd be happy to help you out.
