Wondering about the single shots. I had always been told the splits were to make it run much smoother. Do the singles produce more power? Does your truck idle and run like it did with splits? And yeah, us California guys are pretty limited....which blows, but.....
More power? Ooohhh yeah!
They run/sound the same as splits. The only “difference” is that they are louder than split shots, especially at idle. I sound more like an old Cummins 12V at idle but with a couple of extra cackles per revolution.
IMO unless you had a 7.3L or put my truck next to a stock one you wouldn’t notice the difference.

I had new Alliant AC's (new from Ford, stock 160/0) installed in my '02 back in '09. I didn't want a remanned hybrid injector, B codes weren't an option, so stock, brand new 160's were my choice.
The stock HPOS runs singles easier than the split AD's. Of course a custom tune can change that, but generally speaking for commensurate power levels, it takes less demand for oil with singles vs splits.
