Nope, trans temp is a PCM value all the way back to '96. Second on the FP gauge.

The ZF6 does not have a transmission temperature reading through the PCM, the 4R100 does though..

You can read TFT and a myriad of other things with Torque Pro for a fraction of what one gage costs, especially if you use an existing Android device that you currently own.

If I were starting from scratch again (and with Torque Pro), I would start with EGT and fuel pressure then assess my desires/budget from there. If you use a boost fooler I would throw a boost gage on the list at #3.

Just my .02

I had no clue I could get trans temp on torque for the 4r100! I do have torque pro, and I have just been using it for this and that, but someone once told me that the 4r100 had no temp sensor, so I guess I never even looked! I will definitely load that gauge on my screen.

I bought an UltraGauge Blue when I first bought the truck because it said it monitored XYZPDQ but because of E99 I only got transmission temperature when I upgraded to the 2001 PCM oil temperature, battery voltage, maintenance mileage, rpm, speed and a handful of other gauges.

I bought my Autometer guages used and haven’t had any issues in 10 years. Installed some Glowshift gushes in a friends of mine and he had issues. Just one experience but that’s my two cents.

Hey guys, I finally got time to update this thread! I was contacted by one of our awesome members about a set of ISSPRO Performax gauges with ESP that he had and was trying to sell. He gave me an awesome deal and I couldn't be happier! SO currently I have EGT, trans temp, and boost. I plan on adding a fuel pressure gauge in the future, so I ordered a 4-gauge pillar from GlowShift. Last week I installed them with help from a buddy and everything seems to be working great. If anyone out there is on the fence about gauges, spend the extra, get the ISSPRO. Before I bought them, I hadn't done a ton of research on the Performax series but once I did I was super exited, now if I want to expand more I can, and it's super easy!

And of course I've got a couple pics...

I like the isspro gages! Nice looking setup 99f250.
I purchased a set of isspro gages myself, but for me I’m not a big fan of the pillar location. I was going to drill the dash and install there, but when I penciled in the locations I didn’t like that either. I have a manual so low underneath dash is not great. So I’m himn and hawin. Probably go over the rear view mirror with them.

I have had Autometer Z series boost, egt, trans temp gauges and a Glowshift fuel pressure gauge for 5 years. The Autometers haven't given me a bit of trouble, when I switched my truck to a manual I took the trans temp gauge out and put it in my Jeep and it's still working great. The glowshift gauge however is on its 4th sensor, and I believe it is starting to go bad, I usually have to replace it once a year, it's only a $30 sensor and easy to replace since I have it remote mounted, I can't bring myself to pay the $200+ for the Autometer fuel pressure gauge.

I’ve seen those 650 dashes....that’s a very nice way to do it for sure. This FTE or is it PSD disease is very costly 🤑

Yes it is...

Two gauges and 9 switches.

I also mounted my brake controller and Hydra USB connection under it.

It's called PMS (Powerstroke Mod Syndrome) and has been well documented in this forum over the years!

Yes it's a very costly disease to have. The longer you have it, the harder it is to get rid of...
