Is this the Explorer introduced in 1991?

If so, all have P/S & P/D/B .. The 8th digit of the 17 digit VIN is the engine size (it's either a V6, or depending on the year, a V8), the 10th digit is the year.

1991/94: 4.0L V6 .. 302 optional beginning in 1995.

Thank you NumberDummy. I am not the sharpest tack in the box on remembering to get numbers off vehicles. I just see the trucks and say I like that I want it and then see it I can buy it. My 69 has no power anything. I want to get rid of that Armstrong steering and the no power brakes. My truck did not even have AC and I am in Texas. I have the frame just laying in a car port while I finish the cab so I can easily work on the fame stuff like new brake lines and wiring for the back end of my truck. I will be trying to add side gas tanks to my truck and not using the in cab tank. Thanks again for all your help, Lord knows I need it.

Since this thread is all about rear ends, I'm still new to Fords and I can't identify a rear end by looking at it. Do I have a 9 inch or a Dana?
