I own a Dentside but posting here because of the date. Can anyone help me with identifying this distributor B9AF-12131-A? I pulled it at the junkyard from a Galaxie with what I thought was an FE block so I could use it in my truck but the 59 date code makes me think I pulled from a Y-block by mistake. If anyone who has any ideas about what it is really from I would be thankful.

This is the casting number for the dizzy body only, it does not I.D. the dizzy. FE engines introduced in 1958.

B9AF prefix is 1959 Ford car, Galaxie introduced mid-year 1959, available engines: 292, 332, 352.

Y Block distributors are located at the back of the engine, near the firewall.
