USA Standard Gear Transmission Rebuild Kit
Anyone know if USA Standard Gear transmission kit are US made? I’ve heard, as far as, ring and pinions, Yukon makes the USA standard gear brand but it’s like a “value line” of parts. I’m needing to rebuild a ZF s5-42 transmission and I’m looking for a basic bearings, seals and syncho kit for it.
I’ve seen kits at US standard kits at Rockauto at a reasonable price but don’t know if they are any good. Anyone have any other rebuild kits they would recommend? It’s just a regular build, not for performance and to last a million miles.

I bought ZF kits from General Truck Parts several years ago. I had to get some hard parts to replace worn out originals and OE ZF parts was the only source, so I went with the OE bearing kit and synchro kits at the same time. See attached PDF parts list. The kits are on the last few pages.

Does the kit come with hard parts, like gears? Or is it just synchros and bearings?
