How many quarts after replacing lead frame?

**6r80**

2013 5.0 - I replaced my lead frame this weekend and finally was filling it up with fluid tonight. Most everywhere I read says it takes 7-8 quarts to fill it up after you drop the pan and replace the filter. Mine took 6.5 or more just until it came out of the fill hole before I even cranked the engine. Once the engine was on, I put the last 1.5 quarts in to make it 8 quarts (all I had) and it isn't registering on the dipstick yet. Going to buy more tomorrow, but wondering if other has a similar experience?
