I'm ready to start working on my '51 F2 again... after an 18 months 'time out' from it...

I have discovered that AMD and LMC are both offering new repop fenders and hoods for the '51... Would it be safe to assume they are both from the same manufacturer?

Does anyone have any experience or info about how well these fenders and hoods fit? They are pricey, but probably cheaper than paying someone to repair my originals... but if they don't fit well, I'd rather fix mine...

Info or advise is appreciated...

I don't know about the quality of the parts but I'd say they are all made by the same place. Tooling to make these parts has to a huge cost so I doubt two companies would spent that kind of money for such a limited market.

I think the prices for the fenders are really decent. For what they are getting for them you couldn't have a decent repairable set repaired and put into primer. As for the hoods I think I might look around a while before coughing up that kind of money. There are plenty decent original hoods out there. I have half a dozen pretty decent '48-50 hoods sitting in my barn. The biggest problems with hoods is the cost of shipping such a big piece of sheet metal.
