Moog lower ball joints failed 30000 miles

About 30000 miles ago I replaced most of my front suspension. Last week I purchased new tires and rims. So I dieceded to get the wheel aligment check. The guy comes back and says my lower ***** joints are bad. Sure enough there bad.
I have a 2.5 leveling kit on the truck and 34s but now im running a 31 tires.
I thought Moog was a good brand.
Any suggestion on replacement lower ball joints?

IMHO, always use "professional grade" if listed separately...Moog is one company that does have different grades....avoid thermoplastic materials as well.

They used to be until they sold out, now Moog is made with Chinese steel, not American.

So finally had sometime to swap the lower ball joint. Ends up passenger upper is bad too! MOOG SUCKS!

Went ahead and ordered motorcraft upper control arms with the bushings and ball joints. So next week ill swaps those out and take it back to have wheel aligment checked.

The problem is your leveling kit, I assume it's the spacer in the strut/spring assembly? The sharper angle between the lower control arm and hub assembly put too much stress on the ball joints, been there done that...

OEM ball joints ... and ditch the leveling kit. My trucks original 275/55-20s are over 31".

I agree, with you definitely have to do your research on the products....as an example, when I rebuilt the front suspension on my wife's Sport 2 years ago... I went with Moog professional line...… no thermoplastic and they were made by TRW..... the same company that builds MC replacement parts....at least for that model....
