My son has experienced this on several occasions. Come to a stop and the oil light will blink once. I just changed the oil. He checked level and fine. Anyone else experience this before?

 

Pretty common once they get up there in miles - a few threads around here about it. My 2004 did it. I replaced the sending unit and it was good for several thousand miles but started again. Always had plenty of oil and never made any noises as if it has low pressure. I just lived with it until I got rid of it at 298k.
Only down side is you have to unbolt the a/c compressor. You don't have to evacuate or remove the lines though.

 

If you are running 5-30 then try 10-40 at the next change, as above its due to mileage but shouldn't be an issue if it is only at idle.

 

I put 5w20 in it. Maybe that's the problem then. This one leaks a lot too from valve cover gaskets that need replaced. And the oil drain plug is stripping, screws in easy but was real gentle when snugging it up.
