Floor shift tower foam?
Had to change the clutch in my 66 with a NP435. Under the floor hump on the shift tower there is a square plate with foam to seal the floor. Is this a factory thing?

Yes its factory and probably pretty nasty after all these years.

Nasty for sure! Any suggestions on a replacement. I have is an old memory foam mattress topper that about 3 inches thick.

Here's the original for my 4x4 truck. Round instead of square for this application, but same material I believe.

Went with the topper, should soak up plenty of oil. Thanks for your input.
