I'm looking for ideas with the tray on top of dash

What I would like to find is a monitor setup that fits in the tray and I could use for a couple, or more, cameras and maybe video input from phone or sd card stuff.

Mines an XL without sync or any of that stuff.

Built Right Industries has a dash tray mount that you can mount stuff like Ram ***** to. I have it and mounted two ram ***** for my garmin RV760 GPS and my Furrion observation camera on my RV.

Just did the same addition from Built Right for my Furrion observation camera. Very well built and when paired with the Ram ball moint it is super solid, no bounce or movement at all. Very happy with it and Built Right has excellent quality and customer service.\

Thanks! That's as good a starting point as I've seen!

Which piece do you have between the ram ball and your Furrion camera? I'd like to do the same but am not sure what to purchase. This is what the current camera bracket looks like:

Thanks!

here is a cheap KISS option that I have considered...

Amazon Amazon

Seems like if you want it IN your tray, this isn't going anywhere, and doesnt require adhesives, brackets, suction cups, etc, and looks like it would hold anything from phones to big monitors

Phone Mount Insert

I removed the rubber insert tray and cut a piece of flat plastic (plexiglass) to fit inside. This nests neatly in the dashboard cut out and provides a firm basis to what ever you need to stick to it, being something glued or with a suction base (my phone). I liked it so well i cut a 2nd piece to hold dash mount (old GPS) for when I need the way-points stored in it. These easily swap out

For my GPS, I cut a piece of 3/4" MDF to fit the tray, spray painted it flat black, then took the suction cup mount, drilled a couple holes, and screwed it to the MDF. It's not going anywhere, looks great, and cost nothing.

I used the following with the smaller ball mount on the back of the furrion snap in mount. I trimmed off the slide mount tabs from the back of the monitor bracket then used heavy double sided mounting tape to stick the Monitor bracket to the ball mount. Just got back from a week of travel over 2000 miles and worked great.

Mine......

I have a post somewhere on this site that has a few more details. I cut a piece of black plexiglass to fit the tray.

2 magnetic mounts with a USB power plug I installed.

The displays I choose to mount.
