so I’m in the process of restoring my 1966 N600, I am curious as to what I can do to upgrade the motor situation. I was hoping to put a diesel in it and would love to match that with a Eaton 10 speed. Is that possible? What would be easiest? Thank you.
Anything is possible with enough time and fabrication, but you'll be looking at a gear swap or rear axle swap as well, diesel engines turn less rpm and with gas ratios in the rear axle you'll be lucky to get 50 mph out of it.

People grossly underestimate in today's world what it costs to fix these things, swap parts around.
