Installing steering stabilizer 69 F250 4x4
Hey, Guys,
trying to figure out how to install a steering stabilizer shock on my 69 Highboy 4x4. Purchased a kit from NAPA but my buddy and I cannot figure out where to attach the bracket as the directions it seems to be referring generally to coil springs instead of leaf spring like the 3/4 ton have. Any body got a photo to share as a picture is worth a 1000 words! I freely admit I have installed on a 1971 f100 4x4 but this is a different animal for sure. Also anybody replaced or added air bags to their highboy in the front instead of replacing the leaf springs with new ones?
My buddy is a old time ford guy and builds engines for circle burners and does paint and body work in his garage for guys. Worked in a Ford garage in the 70's and still is doing it. He is currently restoring a 78 Silver Anniversary Corvette from the ground up. He is doing all the fiber glass work as well. My point is he is not a novice! I am but he is not. And yes he works on front or rear axles as well. He build a 4x4 truck for a guy using parts from old Ford and Chevy and Dodge parts for his farm. It looks like hell but it is a working fool! And for a little bit of money out of the pocket of the old farmer! But this steering stabilizer has him stumped and me too. Piece of cake it it had coils but it don't. Help Please!!

Easy, peasy. Napa shows a Rancho kit for it, so here are the instructions for it. Simple. Remember that Jeeps and Dodges have the pumpkin on the wrong side. You need the RS97355 kit for F-250's.

Steering Stabilizer 69 f250 4x4
Ok Rich and everyone else!
In my original post I failed to mention that this 69 F250 now has Benchwork power steering conversion! Does this mean the RS kit will still work or do I need a different part number with that conversion kit.??? The NAPA kit will NOT work!

Like I said, you need the complete RS97355 kit from Napa as the F-250's never had steering stabilizers from the factory like the F-100's and Broncos. It is the cheapest way to go.
