Time Capsule '56 F-100 Long Bed, amazingly original
This is the best preserved original truck I've ever seen that wasn't fire apparatus, especially the interior. Even the tires look original to me. The only things odd are the driver's side mirror, attached low on the cab in a non-stock location, and the after market tail lights. The truck is on uPay right now, and the seller says it was a barn find. No kidding. He wants $19.8k, "buy it now".
I'm reposting pics here because this a fantastic resource for stockers (like me) interested in bringing their trucks back to factory specs or similar. Here is the exterior. Next post will be engine, then that amazing interior.

Yes, that 56 is in very original condition. Its very nice. And I agree trucks like this help us stockers to make our trucks correct. It's been on ebay before. He has brought the price down each time.
Jafo, it's listed as being in Lebanon, PA. When it was on ebay before it was listed as being in Manheim, PA. I communicated with the owner last year. He said the truck was in Brickerville, that's at the intersection of 501 and 322. I told my brother about it and he said he has seen it driving around....
Here is one that is in even better shape. The owner of this one was a member of FTE. I forget his user name just now. He was trying to sell it. I think he was from the Mid-west somewhere. This one has a non-stock floor mat adn a non-stock armrest. Standard cabs did not have them. And it has hooks screwed into the side of the bed. And the hubcaps are repops.

Looking at this truck more closely, I am wondering if it was repainted. Shouldn't the FORD letters on the tailgate be painted white? And shouldn't the rear bumper bolt heads be the natural color, not painted black?
And if I had that truck I would quickly get the tailgate chain rubbers on it so the tailgate paint doesn't get chipped and wore off.....
