Well it has arrived!!! A brand new 2004 larait supercab apline green with full leather buckets 6.5 bed 4x2. All i can say is AWESOME RIDE. After reading some of the posts here i was wondering if i had made the right choice. My dealer home town boys took my order and give me abuild date of 09/08/2003 with a delviery of 09/22/2003. Truck came on the 24th. Purchased with x-plan pricing plus an owner rebate of 500.00. I traded a 2002 Dodge quad cab with 4.7 liter engine. Trade in was 17.5k. I was pleased with the x-plan pricing. I got the towing package with 3.55 limited slip rear end. The first drive broke the tires loose on dry pavement not used to having real power like that. Although the press the pedal to the metal won't push you back into the seat acclerating to above 80 miles per hourwas fast and it is hard to tell just how fast your hauling $$$. No motor nosie and no exhaust sound, just somth clean power. The center consul is awesome as is the 6 disc audiophile system. Back seat room is okay but I'm six foot 230 lbs and would'nt want to ride a 1000 miles back there but 1 hour hops would be just fine. I can't under stand why all the negative comments have been posted, all I can say is spend afew dollars more and go first class with the larait package to get a top notch truck. For those of you how want to complain go buy a bow tie, or one of them ram's and see what real junk is made of! Will post some pictures when i can get my kids, and wife to leave it park long enough to snap a picture
Can any one explain to this ole country boy what all these x-plans are all about. I keep hearing people here talking about different plans, but I've never heard of them!
Ford parteners web site also called friends and family plan. Invoice price on dealers price sheet 3 prices exsist dealer cost or a-plan pricing x-plan pricing and msrp. Qualfied particepants may buy vehicle on x-plan price following this guide line
x-plan price= a-plan price plus 4% plus 150.00. The catch is trade-in value of your current vehicle. Since thier is no mark-up as in msrp most dealers will only want to give you a wholesale pricing on your trade in. Work your best deal because the dealership still gets the 3%msrp dealer hold back money.
