I was hoping to find someone that makes a OEM stand alone efi harness for my 460 swap...i wonder if that mad porter guy still does efi 460s? Suppose i will have to hit up some salvage yards and build it myself.. and the joy of a minnesota winter.. all good.thank for your reply...
If you go OEM, you will have to bring over all the emissions stuff along with it, unless you find someone to re-program the factory ECU. By the time you do all that and spend all that money, you will probably be better off with a aftermarket system you can actually tune and mess with yourself. The Ford EECIV system is not very user friendly when you get away from stock.
Yes thats soooo true.but i am indeed using factory efi and keeping a egr that acts like it doing somthing...lol ...i will be using that holley sniper kit on my 68 f250.. thanks for your reply.
Ford motorsport used to sell stand alone harnesses for street rods and other applications didn't they? That was a while back maybe they stopped making them. And they may have only been for the 302/351w, not sure what ECU came with it.
I seen the EFI guys on the internet, called him, but they just to much $$.. thought i keep lookin and if i have to just make one up myself i will would be damn good learning project...
Update, i found a new OEM underhood harness on ebay for little over a hundo. Now just need to follow the steps i found in another thread here...and score a reman ECU.
I think it was the only OEM undergood harness that part house had for a 92 stripped chassie 7.5...it is not a regular truck type...im thinking motorhome...but on the plus side it is new and clean...also scored a ecu from rockauto... now for the joy of hookin it up to the bullnose....
Anybody notice that motorcraft TPS doesnt fit the BBK throttle body for 460.... i have two BBK thottle bodies both the same way...sensor not flush with body.....
Guys i spent the weekend building my stand alone EFI 460..I now have spark. Just need to sifer the fuel pump relays...man that a B load of wires....big black bull nose one step closer...

Where did you find the pinouts for making your harness. I’m building a 42 Ford COE and using a efi 460 e4od in it and was looking for info on cutting down my harness. Basically I need to know what wires I need to keep.
