Blower motor not working

Well, I started digging into the heating system since winter is getting close and I’m trying to figure out why my blower motor doesn’t come on, I’ve tried messing with the factory ac switch on the dash, that didn’t work, tried running power directly to the blower motor and it didn’t do anything, is the blower motor out and need to be replaced? It is a factory air truck, so all the ac components it has are factory, ac doesn’t work because I don’t have some of the parts, but plan on replacing them if I can get the blower motor working or replaced. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

If you apply power directly to the blower motor and it does nothing then it's a safe bet it should be replaced.

Just out of curiosity, would a blower motor out of an early to mid 80’s Mustang work in my truck? I’ve got one laying in my garage and don’t have any other use for it, so if it would work that’s great but if not I’ll just order a new one.

No.
1973/79: TWO different blower motors used with factory installed integral A/C that is combined with the heater.

D3TZ-19805-B (replaced D3TZ-19805-A) .. Blower Motor - Use with factory installed Integral A/C or Hi/Lo Comfort Vent System (Motorcraft MM-312) / Obsolete

1973/76 F100/350; 1977 F100/350 before serial number O20,001.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
D7TZ-19805-A .. Blower Motor - Use with factory installed Integral A/C or Hi/Lo Comfort Vent System (Motorcraft MM-368) / Obsolete

1977 F100/350 from serial number O20,001; 1978/79 F100/350 & Bronco.

With factory installed integral A/C, the A/C controls are in the same panel as the heater controls. The HUGE A/C evaporator case is located at the right rear corner of the engine compartment.

Well I appreciate the help, I’m just going to order a new one, tried putting power to the mustang blower and it’s cooked too, so my only option is a new one.
