Fox ATS Stabilizer vs Standard Fox Single Stabilizer

Torque spec is only 12 ft/lbs. Same as the L bracket for the reservoir. I had to loosen the L-brakcet on the reservoir to rotate it to a position to make sure it cleared everything. I noticed they had red loctite on that bolt but they did not specify it for the 4 clamp bolts. I will probably go back and toss some red or blue on the all of them next time I am down there.

For those interested, I noticed PCS Custom Automotive was showing more than 10 available on eBay, When I went to their site, they have them for $409.90 (with free shipping), about $25 less than their eBay price.
Ordered one and if their eBay ad is factual, they have at least 10 more available.

Just called since they charged me right away and didn't send any shipping/back order info out. She confirmed they have 13 on back order and it may be 6 weeks before they get them. I let her know their web site didn't indicate that (even though EBay did) and she said she would ask her "web guy" to correct it. Asked her to cancel/refund my order but keep me on the list and to let me know when they get them in stock.

Made it home with some day light. 15 minute install. You do need a buddy or wife to help you out. The steering wheel has to be held at full max to the right to mount the clamp (with 1/8" of shaft showing at that point). Set it to "12" of 24 settings to start. Didn't go on a drive, just backed it back up into the driveway - it did make the steering feel a little more sturdy than it was. So I will play with adjustments. I also did have to rotate the reservoir to avoid it from hitting anything. Easy adjustment - just an allen bolt on the L bracket clamp to rotate it.

Looking at the part #983-02-143 on Stage 3s site, I thought, Must Be a Generic Photo. Saw the attach points were not the same as stock. May have second thoughts now, don't like the "Clamp" end. Why not engineer it to attach at factory points. Looks to me we are paying $440 for a "Universal" damper.
This allows the shock to ride the shaft in both directions. Essentially two gas stabilizers in one.
The biggest drawback of normal gas piston style is they create push in one direction - this is why people go duals. With the ATS you get no push and cheaper than duals.
Fox just took what companies (such as Ohlins) has been doing for years with motorcycles and applied it to 4x4.
Sure it can be looked at as universal. It is to an extent (such as single and duals are also). They just give you the correct stroke length, stock single hole mount on one side and then a clamp that’s sized for your bar.
Again, Ohlins and Scott’s has been doing this for years - taking a “universal” dampener and applying the correct mounts for it for you bike/application.
