It could if it's not the right ECM for your engine/trans combo. Now you need to research the tune code (Z2E1) and see if it is correct for your truck.

I still don't think I would call the plugs "pig rich". This is what I call rich:
His plugs look like it maybe idles way rich, but clears out when you get it out on the road.
