When coming to a stop a hear a "snap" - it happens under light braking but not heavy braking. It is a single snap not a series. Seems like coming from front possibly left side? My first thought was stabilizer links but I installed new Moog greaseable units 2000 miles ago. As far as I could determine everything underneath seems tight. Any thoughts?

I cleaned/greased slide pins on front calipers - still had snapping sound. I disconnected front sway bar links - still had snapping sound. I understand that slip joint at rear of main driveshaft could make a similar noise. Any other thoughts?

AND WE HAVE A WINNER!...... I finally checked the ball joints the proper way (i.e.,put jack stands on frame, let front end hang free & used a pry bar to move wheel up & down.) Sure enough left ball joint was bad, Replaced and no more noise!
