I'm getting into an agonizing wait.... Truck arrived at dealer on Friday sometime. Was thinking today was the day. Long weekend wait. Dealer is talking Wednesday now before they are ready.......sigh
Tough when you can even touch it....take pictures of it.....but still can't buy it.

 

Other than clean it up, what does the dealer need to do that takes two full days?

 

They need to enter it into their system and then do PDI (whatever that means).
They are also sending it out for rustproofing. I figured they would do that today, and truck would be back later on today ready to go.

It's fairly obvious.... My excitement is not really their emergency, lol

 

 

It changed back to original date, 10/26, 11 days!!

i have to ask...cause I want a 19 F350 XLT...did you do bench or go with console?
I currently have the console in my current truck because its a lariat...not sure if I can give it up. Its the size of a mini fridge

 

How long are most people waiting once the order is in to get a vin #?

 

2-3 weeks. my case was just about 2 1/2 weeks and VIN was assigned.

 

I got mine in 2 weeks.

 

Thank you, that is very helpful. My order just went in last week (though I gave it to the dealer the previous Fri, he said it wouldn't go in until the following wed). Looks like I should wait at least till next week to bug him more.
