Wesley, popcorn gets stuck in my teeth, but beer and lemon pepper wings taste just fine... I'll bring enough for everyone, as long as they like IPA and crispy baked wings.

John, we are looking forward to what you are doing and your thoughts on the work accomplished.

Any hints as to why the turbo is out?

I tried the sinister oil bypass and peragon tonneau cover. the sinister oil bypass was less than impressive for quality and attention to detail, but they did throw some cash back because of the problems. The peragon is pretty slick. You do lose the last 8"x8" of the upper back of the bed, but you can remove it or use a bar divider. I know I paid way too much for the oil bypass but no time is a b.

On the Peregon I had to re-seal the front seal. The self stick adhesive gave up and they sent me a tube of 3M body adhesive that held fine ever since. Great customer service. Use the same sealant on the little rubber ends of the side rails. They have small retention screws but they fall off anywho.

I recently went from 265 to 285 tires, Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLTs. Today I recalibrated the ABS module for the size difference with FORScan. Which was difficult for me since I'm technologically challenged. Pretty simple once I figured it out.

E99 KC Turbo 63/73 .84 and S&B filter. Still need to adapt the S&B for CCV to meet emissions requirements. It was 100* today which made the job rather less than enjoyable.

Brand New KC 63/73 .84 E99 drop in turbo

You can see the differences between the stock turbo and the new one.

I got to this point tonight, I did not realize that S&B does not even give you the ability to ventilate the crank case into the turbo. So I need to mock something up because I need it for emissions

Holy crap that thing is shiny!!! Congrats on the new turbo, I hope it does right by you. We expect a full report even if it is a"seat of the pants" based report.

EDIT: No picture if the intake/wheel?!?!?!

Those look absolutely terrible John. Go ahead and send them to me and I'll see what I can do to make them look a little better, but don't put that crap on your truck.

LOL, I’ll keep that in mind if I can’t get the intake to work...

@Colorado350 Before you take action on modifying the S&B intake, run some ideas by us.

I went to Napa and told them what I was looking for in the way of a CCV hose. He went to the back and came out with a coolant hose from a Civic or something. It was semi-rigid 3/4" hose with a couple of 90 degree bends and a couple 45 bends too. You can see it in my T4/SXE video.

I am thinking something like that cut to fit going through a thick rubber grommet that is capable of holding onto the inside and outside of the S&B tube. TSC or HD/Lowes might have something that would work.

We look forward to your progress.

‘Hey Sous, I got everything to mate up. I used the piece from the intake and just slowly cut the piece that came with the turbo. I’ll start a thread later but here’s a pic...

Started the truck and went for a drive (empty). Definitely different than what I had (modified stock turbo and AIS) The S&B makes more noise than the AIS but nothing unbearable …based on this drive. Once the turbo spools EGT’s come down very quickly. I’m hoping to load it up this week or next weekend so that will be the true test.

I didn't do anything exciting like Colorado350 did, but after a long camping trip sitting under the trees the truck needed a bath. I rinsed the engine bay down a bit too. Now it is parked in its spot up at the tree line on our property waiting for the next time I ask it to do some work.

It was on the property when we bought the house 9 years ago. As you can see we use it for firewood storage and covered parking for the truck, which it does a great job at.

O how I envy y'all with your brazen T4 set ups and OCRs out there in the open, righteously. No fear of the CA smog bureaucracy. Live free bro!
