Sorry to hear about your Dad. I lost my Dad in March and my Mother 2 weeks ago. It is tough realizing that you are now the adults.

Each of us will one day find ourselves at the front of the line to meet our creator. The only thing that will matter at that time is are we prepared. At this point, only God knows your Dad's position in that line. Wether he lives or dies, we can be assured that your Dad is in God's hands, and that he will be fine no matter what happens. Life is short as you say, but heaven is our real home; and unlike our life in this world, it is forever. My prayers are with your Dad and your family. John 11:25 and 26.

It doesn't matter how old you are, it's still tough to lose a parent.

Jeff,
My thoughts and prayers to you and yours.

This growing up thing sucks! My dad is 77 and has an inoperable brain aneurism that could take him at any minute. I'm not ready to be the adult. I want to go back to being relegated to the kids table in the kitchen at Thanksgiving and not having a care in the world knowing that the elders in the family would handle all of the hard things.

Jeff & Nicole so sorry to hear your sad news. It’s hard to except but don’t give up as he sounds like a good dad that tried to do the right thing with his son! If he was always trying to do fix things he is still trying to fix this problem. He just can’t tell you about it now. Keep the faith you never know how things will turn out. Our prayers are with you and your family.

I am sorry to hear about your Dad. I hope he recovers. I lost my Mom a year ago. Many times I get the feeling I need to call her and tell her about something that happened during my day or ask a question I know she could easily answer.

I choose to stay positive.
My Dad has always been one of those guys.
"If something happens to me and I can't do my thing? Let me go...I am done..." No nursing home or vegatative state...

Wise words from your father . My dad hung on for 3 years after a couple heart attacks, but he was in a nursing home and wasn't the man he had been.

Hoping for the best outcome for your dad and your family.
