Yea let me get the list for you lol
steeeing gear box
pitman arm (reusable mine had damaged splines)
hydro boost pump
ball joints
tie rods
drag links
steering colum (mine had 3 problems broken bearings, clock spring, and had to disconnect the shifter cable to manually change gears at the cabl so I replaced the entire unit) there are bearings inside there that the steering shaft rides on if they go out the wheel will move in several directions like it is loose from inside the cab)
Wish I replaced them ALL at once I will next time every time I changed those I would notice a large improvement. The truck has gone from 45 degrees of play to driving like a car
2 front shocks and track bar is all that’s left for me on the front end. This two are not as closely linked to a loose steering as the priors.
Could be lots of things. Have someone in the truck rock the wheel back & forth while you look at the steering parts and see if you can spot the source of the slop.
I mean it is hard to keep it straight in the lanes. It’s tight up down right and left just has 3-4 inches of room before it actually turns the tires.. I adjusted the gear box screw and it bottomed out but didn’t help.. new gear box in order???

If it’s bottomed out then probably. I’d send it to West Texas Off-road and have them rebuild it. If you’re running larger tires, might as well have them port it too. Then you’ll have the option of hydro assist if you want it.

Along with the other advise don't disregard the Track Bar. My truck was the same way. You would swear I was drunk. Turned out to be shot track bar bushings. Put a new "Zone" adjustable bar and steers like a dream.
