Opinion / Help needed base oil pressure.
This is my first post, and obviously I am looking for help or opinion with my 2007 F250 6.0L.
I bought truck with bad engine and I just put new rebuild engine in.
My problem is long crank - slow base oil pressure build up.
I am attaching youtube link to end of this message to demonstrate how is engine behaving during a long crank.
Base oil pressure is not building at all for several seconds and then it will start rising, as soon as base pressure is rising high pressure start rising as well and eventually engine will fire up.
When engine fires up, base oil goes to 75 psi (cold engine) and stays there. IPR is around 30% and going down as engine warms up.
Like I said this is new engine and I didn't rode truck yet, since it is not completely assembled. I am hesitating to assemble it since I am not sure what is causing long crank.
Could it be a air locked is oil system or, bad low pressure oil pump?
Any help or toughs will be greatly appreciated.

These are ford base values —
Icp- Koeo 0 low 625.5 High 1400-1450 Remember you need 520 psi to start
ICPv - Koeo 0.2 low 1.0 High 1.8 you need .85v to start
Ipr- Koeo 14.84 low 24 High 40.60
if your seeing 30 at idle Ipr is compensating for ICP , leak in the Hpop

Why is low pressure building slow if there is leak in HPOP?
Should be base oil pressure building up fast and high oil pressure building up very slow during HPOP leak?
I believe Diesel Ron Tech on youtube was saying that IPR should be under 30% when idle hot.
My hot idle would be under 30%, do you think there is still HPOP leak?

I already checked lpo regulator for debris, it was clean and it appear to be in good shape.
As you can see in video, as soon as engine starts, full 75 psi is present, I guess LPO regulator is keeping oil pressure right at 75 psi.
I am not sure if 75 psi at iddle is normal for new rebuild engine (cold start) or if it is just too much for some reason.

Cold oil 75psi is normal, but you are quite right, it's taking a long time to build up base oil pressure. My gut was like Mark's regulator not working correctly. Other then that, base oil bypass valves in filter canister not working correctly.
And I'd get those batteries on charge over night. While you're not showing base voltage, the slowed cranking is telling me the batteries are getting pretty depleted and you voltage is dropping. Keep with that and you'll be adding a FICM soon. Thats not helping pressure buildup.

Thank you guys, I will keep them charged.
i will check oil bypass valves in filter housing and IPC disconnect test and see if that will help.
I may even do high pressure system air leak test.
I hope it is not pickup tube or anything internal ...
Funny thing is that once oil start building up pressure it is building it up pretty nicely, (if it would be internal oil leak would it start building up after several seconds of cranking, or it would stay low even during a long crank)

Regulator piston installed in the correct orientation (just have to ask, sorry)?
Also have to ask about the type of filter and cap you are using - OEM I hope?
Oil level is good (not too high or low)?
Does the oil look clean and free of diesel smell (inspect dipstick or crack the drain plug and drain a little out)?
Did you put a magnet down in the regulator hole after removing the spring and piston)?
Have you pulled the oil filter and watched the bowl fill up (both with and without depressing the drain valve)?
Also have to ask about the type of filter and cap you are using - OEM I hope?

Oil level is on maximum - per dip stick.
Oil is new, clean , no smell of diesel (it is very first oil in engine, since it is new/rebuild engine)
