I've seen a couple threads of people attempting wireless charging in their trucks. Wondering if any more have attempted to get it in the tray to the left of the cup holders or any other spot. Finally got a phone that utilizes it so curious to see what everyone has done. I see the dash mounts but rather not have wires hanging around. If I could get one for the tray to the left of the cupholders and drill to get to the usb's under the dash area that would be ideal. Thanks in advance!
Here is my setup, it's a Scosche that I bought at Walmart for around 40 bucks. Took the mount off the back and used vhb to attach to a piece of aluminum bar stock that I bent at an angle. I drilled it to the insert and ran the power cable to the power plug in the glove box.

I`m not sure if you know this but Ford Accessories has a wireless charger available for certain vehicles so you might want to check that out.
I hope this info helps you.
Keep in mind that if you want to use Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, you'll need to use the USB cable anyway. There is no way to do that (any time soon) wirelessly. That was the deal breaker for me for wireless charging.

That would be nice but so far wireless CarPlay or Android Auto can only be done by some aftermarket units by Alpine, Kenwood, and Pioneer. I`m sure in another 2-3 years, this will be possible with some of the OEM auto manufacturers.
