Truck wandering after ball joint replacement and alignment

Morning folks

2002 F350 7.3L 135k miles

Replaced ball joints on both sides of the truck and had the wheels aligned after. Also had replaced a worn out drag link (all three pieces)

Now the truck wanders/overcorrects at highway speeds. No play in steering box. The guy that put them in used ACDelco parts. Do you think this could be an installation issue? I've only put 200 or so miles on, is this something that might go away with time?

I've seen piles of threads with this issue but no one ever updates. Anyone experience something like this?

I’ve been having the same issue with my 2003 since replacing the entire front end. Any help would be appreciated.

My issue never entirely went away until I replaced the track bar (stationary bar that connects the front driveshaft to the frame, google loose track bar) and took all of the slack out of the steering box. Did both at the same time so I'm not sure which one was the culprit but it drives like a new truck now.

Let the ball joints break in, and change the track bar if you haven't already. Its relatively cheap compared to the rest of the front end. Then make sure your steering box is tightened up. Good luck! Please let us know if this helps.
