2008 f250 6.4l egr and dpf deleted. Replaced HPFP in April 2018, Truck ran great, fuel was clean, no metal in filter or lines. Also replaced fuel pump in fuel water separator. Thinking could be fuel rail pressure sensor but dont want to just replace stuff. Hope not the HPFP! Truck has 270,000 miles on it. Bought at auction so dont know history. Do know previous owner put $4,000.00 in repairs before getting rid of it. Put scan guage on it and showed very low fuel pressure, like 5psi!

 

be careful about trying to crank a 6.4 with questionable fuel system delivery.

the HPFP is gear driven

if the engine is crank rotating, HPFP is spinning, If the HPFP spins when dry, you will have HPFP damage.
