does anyone know of a pre lubrication pump that will move the oil through the engine before startup and aslo after shut down to prevent the turbo from melt down? if so where do you find them at?

Thanks for posting the link! I use my truck for lots of short trips which I know isn't the greatest thing for a diesel....looks like this is something I should have.

I see that the unit pre lubes for 40 seconds. Do you wait that long to start your truck after turning the key or do you just wait for the guage to get a reading?

thanks for the information i am going to call them and see how much they run. we do a similar thing with our race cars..axcept we have a dry sump oil system with a oil tank with a heater. so we heat the oil to 220 then take the oil pump belt off the engine then spin the pump to check for pressure, leaks and also to preheat the engine. we do this for 2 or 3 cycles to heat the oil completly because the oil in the lines and the tank will not get hot until it reaches the tank. it would be nice to have a system like this on my psd.

remote start

I use a remote start alarm system. I crank my truck about ten minutes before I go anywhere, and if you push the start button on the remote when you pull up to the gas station, and then take the key out- the engine will run for a pre-determined amount of time (5 to 21 minutes). If anyone gets in your truck and touches the brake pedal without the key in the ignition, the motor shuts off.

Dustyballs,

There was a price sheet online but it was difficult to find. Here's a link.... http://www.espperformance.com/rlelec...eluberkits.htm

It's a bit more than I had hoped at $600 for the turbo model.
