Dana 60 Swap ?

I am new to the site!
Thanks in advance for any help received.
I have a 97 F-250 Crew Cab 4x4 with the 7.3.
I have found a set of axles out of a 2002 F-350 with 3.73 gears.
I have 3 questions, One will theses fit under my 97?
Second I want to do a 4 inch lift, if these do fit would I get a lift kit for the 97 truck or the 2002 axles?
Lastly, the rear axle off of the 02 has disc brakes, again if they fit, is this a problem or can I use the disc brakes?
Thoughts?

Your gonna half to swap rear axle swap it’s pretty much a direct swap. Front your gonna half to run a rsk kit. But it’s definitely a worth while swap if you get a reasonable price on the axles. Also don’t forget the Sd axles have different lug pattern. Have you looked into a 05 axle swap.

Thanks for the response.
What are the benefits of the 05?
Seems like a good deal $800 for both.
They are kind of rusty, but they seem to have all the components with them.

The 99 up axles are definitely a upgrade over the obs Dana 50 and you will get disk break rear also. The 05 up front axle has little bit bigger wheel bearings bigger brakes yet over the 99 leafspring axles. Also little better turning radius and better ride. Well worth it swap It’s one of the best mods I’ve done to my truck so far. Believe the thread name for my swap was 05 axle swap with some questions or something along those lines. If you have any questions just pm me.

If you intend on them then you will hopefully at least get the front leaf springs. To install the monobeam front sd axle you will need an rsk as the width between the leafs is different. The rsk will move the perches out and give the right moi tinting points for the SD spring lentgh and it'll ride better than obs.

IDK about the 05 stuff but I rode in a buddies 06 and honestly I was not super impressed that I would do all that work for that ride quality. Just my .02

Maybe you know this or not, but not all superdutys got dana 60. I think the first few years f250 superdutys got the straight axel d50, and some f350s. all excursions are dana 50. Maybe 03 all superdutys got the d60. You'll have to research it. I feel it would still be an upgrade over the TTB 50 in your 97. I replaced mine with a kingpin d60 from a 91 f350. Glad to be rid of that TTB 50.
